UNDP Iran Launches the Asia-Pacific Human Development Report on Corruption |
Tehran, 20 July 2008- The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on 16 June 2008 in Iran together with the Economic Research Institute of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, jointly launched UNDP's regional Asia-Pacific Human Development Report on Corruption. The event took place at the UN Common Premises in Tehran on Monday 16 June 2008. Members from the print and broadcast media were also present at the launch event.

Reuters Article Draws Global Attention to Conservation of Asiatic Cheetah in Iran |
Tehran, 25 June 2008 - The international news agency Reuters has published a feature story titled Bridging the Iran-West Divide to Save Cheetahs. The article is based on a field visit undertaken by the United Nations Development Programme, the Department of Environment and Reuters to Kuh-e Bafgh Protected Area in Yazd Province, one of the five protected areas identified by the joint UNDP/GEF and the Department of Environment project Conservation of Asiatic Cheetah, its Natural Habitat and Associated Biota in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
